San Saba Sauces
When I first retired from the Army and didn't know what I was going to do with the rest of my life (farming hadn't even crossed my mind yet) I met a gentleman from San Saba named Brad Williams, who asked me if I would like to go hunting. The organization he was part of was the San Saba Chapter of Texas Hunters for Heroes and they take disabled veterans out and reconnect them with nature through hunting and fishing. I have to say that single event with those great Americans helped set my mind right and indirectly put me on the path I am on today. I know I can't say it enough, but thank yall so much!
(As a side note we just happen to distribute the BEST watermelons in the state grown by Brad's uncle who has been doing it for 80 years!)
San Saba Sauces
To raise money to support Hunters for Heroes Brad and his partner Bob (yes, that's Bob in the photo) began bottling up an old family BBQ sauce recipe and began selling it. Since then its taken off and grown to include Black Iron BBQ Sauce and Poppy's Pepper Sauce as well as the original Hunters for Heroes BBQ and Pepper Sauces.
